ALD Members Visit GSD Course to Provide Final Exam Tips
Sometimes, the best way to help first-semester students succeed is to give them an opportunity to hear from their peers.
Recently, Alpha Lambda Delta members Bekah McKinley and Madi Campbell visited a GSD 101 class to help students get ready for finals. Their presentation covered the following topics:
- How to Take a Final
- Good Strategies for Studying
- Taking Care of Yourself
- Where to Go for Help
They discussed such strategies as elimating unlikely answers first when taking a multiple choice exam. They gave advice about how to maximize study efforts. And they delved into the often overlooked subject of mental hygiene.
ALD provides several teams of peer-to-peer mentors who are willing to visit classes and share advice about academic success.
If you are a first-year seminar instructor, and if you'd like a pair of Alpha Lambda Delta scholars to visit your class, contact the chapter advisor, Travis Martin, at travis.martin@eku.edu.
